William R. Glasgow, Jr. of Arcade passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his residence at the age of 86.
He was born May 8, 1935 in Williamsburg, PA, a son of the late William and Agnes (Fleming) Glasgow Sr. He was a United States Army Veteran and served from 1959-1960 and then served in the Reserves until 1965. He was a member of the Arcade United Methodist Church and was a loving husband of his high school sweet heart for 60+ years. He was also a doting father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was a tool and die maker for Motorola in Arcade.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Anderson) Glasgow, whom he married October 11, 1958 in Winchester, VA; his children: William Glasgow, III of Arcade, Tracy (Scott) Stiles of Arcade and Dana (Hossein) Pahlavani of Virginia; his sister, Jean (Jack Harmon) Glasgow of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren: Megan Maricle, Ryan Glasgow, Jacob Maricle, Dillon Stiles, and Emily Glasgow; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Bruce (Ann) Glasgow, Dean (Ada) Glasgow, Shirley (George Evans) Glasgow, and Emma (Don Schafer) Glasgow.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at convenience of the family.
