Obituary for William D. Hicks
William D. Hicks of Arcade, NY passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 86.
He was born June 15, 1936 in Franklinville, NY a son of the late Harold and Thelma (Riggs) Hicks. He was a United States Army Veteran and served from 1956-1958. He was also a former Arcade traffic safety control officer and member of the Arcade Raiders Motorcycle Club.
He worked as an electrician for Motorola in both Arcade and Elma.
His wife, Marilyn R. (Danforth) Hicks whom he married on August 16, 1958 in Buffalo, passed away on September 2, 2016.
He is survived by his children: Kenneth (Leslie) Hicks of Arcade, Pamela (James) Wilkinson of Delevan, Donald (Barbara) Hicks of Rochester and Richard Hicks of Batavia; his brother, James (Kathy) Hicks of Franklinville; also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment to be held in the Arcade Rural Cemetery.
