Obituary for Wesley L. Woodruff
Wesley L. Woodruff, formerly of Holland, NY passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Fiddler's Green Manor in Springville at the age of 93.
He was born November 10, 1929 in Arcade, a son of the late Charles and Florence (Davis) Woodruff. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran and served from 1954-1956. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and helping others. He also enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and taking walks.
He worked in maintenance for Upstate Farms for 46 years in both Blasdell and Cheektowaga.
His wife, Charlotte (Stanbro) Woodruff whom he married on April 3, 1954 in Curriers, NY passed away on August 25, 2008.
Wesley is survived by his daughters: Susan (Denton) Lowe of Arcade, Cindy (late Donald) Muscarella of Geneseo and Patricia (Ronald) Hallum of Rolla, MO; his sister, Eunice Ivon of Strykersville; also survived by eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Joyce Meyer, Charles Woodruff, Edna Torrey, Glenn Woodruff, Wayne Woodruff, Peggy Younger, Robert Woodruff and his twin brother, Richard Woodruff.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 2-6pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held at 6pm with Pastor Jeff Snyder officiating. Interment will be held in Curriers Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Holland Rescue Squad, 49 N. Main St., Holland, NY 14080 or to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Buffalo, NY 14228.
