Obituary for Violet R. Fetzer
Violet R. Fetzer, formerly of Arcade, NY passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY at the age of 97.
She was born November 25, 1925 in Cheektowaga, NY a daughter of the late Henry C. and Ida (Sheldon) Sporman. She was a member of the Sardinia United Methodist Church and worked at the Sardinia Post Office for over 25 years until retiring in 1989.
Her husband, Claude Fetzer, who she married on July 12, 1947 in Sardinia, passed away in 1982.
She is survived by her children: Thomas (Melanie) Fetzer of Franklinville and Todd (Susan) Fetzer of East Aurora; her grandchildren: Christine (Marc) Chamberlain, Aprille Fetzer and Justen (Leslie) Fetzer; her great-grandchildren: Noelle Chamberlain, Levi Chamberlain, Haley Hardcastle, Ryleigh Fetzer, Austin Hardcastle, Colten Fetzer and Isaac Chamberlain; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Henry W. Sporman.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Sardinia Cemetery.
