Obituary for Steven J. Smith
Steven J. Smith of Chaffee, NY passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville, NY at the age of 67.
He was born April 24, 1955 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Hugh and Lois (Bateman) Smith. He was a member of the Chaffee Community Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Hunt) Smith, whom he married September 14, 1974 in Chaffee, NY; his children: Brett (Tanya) Smith of Yorkshire and Ronda (Timothy) Byroads of Machias; his brothers: Bradley (Cindy) Smith of Delevan and Rusty Smith of Freedom; also survived by his grandchildren: Tyler, Trevor, Takota and Trey Smith, and James Byroads; his sister-in-law, Alice Smith of Chaffee; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Smith.
There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:30am at the Chaffee Community Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Brown officiating. Final interment will be held in Sardinia Cemetery.
