Obituary for Robert H. Webber, Sr.
Robert H. Webber, Sr. formerly of Chaffee, NY passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the V.A. Medical Center in Batavia at the age of 98.
He was born May 23, 1924 in Perrysburg, NY a son of the late Frank Oscar and Clara Elsie (Moran) Webber. He was a World War II Army Veteran and served from 1943-1945. He was also known as a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed working in his garage repairing cars. He also enjoyed traveling, farming and had a need for speed.
He was a self-employed truck driver and owned and operated R. Webber Trucking in Centerville, NY.
His wife, Rose C. (Balducci) Webber whom he married on April 14, 1943 in South Carolina, passed away on April 15, 1998.
He is survived by his children: Clara S. O'Brien of Las Vegas, NV, Ronald K. (Jennifer) Webber of Chaffee, Mary Jane (Paul) LeBaron of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas F. (Sue Janas) Webber of Delevan, Donna M. (Paul) Hendrix-Rhodes of Laconia, NH, Timothy L. (Becky) Webber of Chaffee, Ann Marie Peterson of Orchard Park, Susan M. (Scott) Hudson of Lake View and Robbie T. (Heather) Webber of East Arcade; also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two more on the way, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his children: Robert H. (Cathy) Webber, Jr. and infants Frank O. Webber and Fay Marie Webber; 10 brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Batavia VA Medical Center, 222 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY 14020 in honor of Robert H. Webber, Sr.
