Obituary for Nancy L. Morgan

It is with deep sorrow, and much love, that the family of Nancy Lee Morgan announces her passing on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the age of 78.

Nancy was born August 18,1944 in Salamanca, NY. She was the daughter of Lloyd K. and Ellen L. Myrick Davies

She grew up in Arcade and later moved to Freedom, NY. Nancy was a graduate of Arcade Central School, class of 1962.

Nancy was a longtime resident of Olean for over 50 years, later residing in both Portville, and recently, Cuba, NY.

Nancy is survived by her four children, Wayne Morgan of Olean, Patricia Morgan of Allegany, Thomas Morgan of Olean and Bobbie Jo Morgan of Cuba; her sister, Marjorie (Rex) Clouston, and sister-in-law, Marcia Davies, eleven grandchildren: Nichole Morgan, Benjamin (Myranda) Morgan, Brooke (Abraham) Powell, Rhiannon Zink, Kaylee (Cole) Koch, Haley (Gavin) Barke, Alex (McKenzie) Powell, Tyler Shawley, Addison Morgan, Ellie Shawley and Chloe Morgan, seven great-grandchildren: Alexis, Cadence, Sawyer, Bryce, Brinley, Bristol and Rowyn, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Nancy departed from her loved ones and was reunited with her parents, sister, Mary Ellen Davies, and was joined the next day by her “favorite” brother, Clifford Davies, to be in eternal life.

Many knew Nancy through the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce as the former Membership Coordinator as well as co-owner of Morgan Optical. Her connection with GOACC members and patients of the optical business brought her many cherished friendships over the years. She will forever be remembered by a genuine caring heart and a contagious loving smile.

Nancy held her entire family closest to her heart making them her uttermost priority in life. She believed that you could do all things through Christ which strengthened her (Philippians 4:13). This is not a goodbye, but a ‘see you later.’

Visitation will be held at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 West Main St. in Arcade, NY on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, the 20th at 11:00AM with Dr. Tony Evans officiating.
