Mary Joan Obrochta of Bliss, NY passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 81.

She was born January 1, 1942 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late Gerald and Teresa Jane (Duhan) Bell. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Arcade and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also loved traveling to Florida.

Mary was a supervisor at Motorola in Arcade and Elma.

She is survived by her children: Joyce (Keith) Geising of Bliss and Walter (Linda) Obrochta of Kentucky; her sister, Geraldine (Albert) Bonavito of Florida; also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Carol Sue Bell and James Bell.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10am at St. Mary's Church, 417 W. Main St, Arcade, NY 14009 with Rev. Bryan Zielenieski officiating. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery in Ellicottville.
