Obituary for Marilyn R. McCormick
Marilyn R. McCormick of Java Center, NY passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw at the age of 87.
She was born January 8, 1935 in Buffalo a daughter of the late Elmer and Fredrica "Freda" (Roth) Jones. She was a secretary for Pillsbury in Buffalo and had also helped on the Mar-Dan family dairy farm.
Her husband, Donald D. McCormick who she married on June 7, 1958 in Java Center, passed away on November 21, 2012.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Mark McCormick of Java Center and Dana (Donald Hackett, Jr.) McCormick of Java Center; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Dale McCormick and her siblings: Ida Christie, Ralph Jones, Herbert "Herb" Jones, William "Billy" Jones and Elmer "Bud" Jones.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10am - 11am at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held at 11am with Pastor Shawn Hannon officiating. Interment will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Java Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
