Obituary for Lester M. Smith, Jr.
Lester M. Smith, Jr. of Delevan, NY passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 69.
He was born March 3, 1953 in Palm Beach County, Florida a son of the late Lester Milton Smith and Elizabeth Rose (nee Francis) Smith. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and served from 1972-1974. He also enjoyed fishing and was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Burdic) Smith whom he married on December 10, 1993; his children: Richard (Ashley) Smith of Delevan, Angela Wicks of Jamestown and Gary (Beth) Crawford of Gowanda; his siblings: Jim Cleveland of Frostproof, FL, Daniel Smith of Jamestown, Steve Smith of Jamestown, John (Laurie) Smith of Greeneville, TN, Katherine (Tony) Muro of Lewiston, Deborah (Shane) Anderson of East Concord, Melissa Smith of Rochester and Tiffany (Terry) Colburn of Falconer; his step-mother, Peggy Smith of Jamestown; also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Smith.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 11am-1pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held at 1pm.
