Obituary for Leland E. "Terry" Bray
Leland "Terry" E. Bray of Arcade, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw at the age of 83 surrounded by family.
He was born on April 22, 1939 in Arcade, a son of the late Leland and Doris (Whiting) Bray. He was a United States Army Veteran and served from 1963-1965. He was also a member of the Arcade VFW. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and was an avid Yankees fan.
Terry worked road construction for over 30 years for Local 210 in Buffalo.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Day) Bray whom he married on August 17, 1968 in Arcade; his son, Kip (Lisa) Bray of Strykersville; his step-son, Scott Brown of Arcade; his brother, Richard (Joyce) Bray; also survived by a grandson, Parker Bray (his most cherished blessing), a step-granddaughter, Heather Heineman, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Carol (Dean) Piatt, Shirley Martin and Sandra (Raymond) Killian as well as his step-father, Edward Hayes.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held in Sardinia Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 12:00pm-2:30pm at the Arcade VFW, 550 W Main St, Arcade, NY 14009.
