Obituary for Kenneth A. Reynolds

Kenneth A. Reynolds of Freedom, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw at the age of 85.

He was born November 24, 1936 in Ashford Hollow, NY a son of the late James and Frances (Schultz) Reynolds. He was retired from Prestolite in Arcade, NY after a 40+ year career. Kenny loved his family very much. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and spent hours telling stories of his younger years and sharing many laughs. He had a sense of humor that could make anyone smile. He enjoyed playing board games and euchre, camping in the summer, bonfires, and cooking out, especially breakfast on the back porch. He was a true cowboy with a real passion for his horses and he introduced and sparked the same passion into many others. He was an avid rodeo fan, participating in many rodeos and game shows throughout his life. He was a member of the Wyoming County Posse, Attica Rodeo Association, and 4-H leader for many years. He loved going to horse and tack auctions and always came home with some treasures and stories to tell.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Mummery) Reynolds whom he married on June 16, 1956 in Sandusky; his children Michael Reynolds of Freedom, NY, Sherrilyn (Norman) Feldman of Freedom, NY and Dale (Deborah) Reynolds of South Dayton, NY and a brother James Reynolds of Machias, NY. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, a brother Richard Reynolds, and sisters Ruth Spencer, Doris Ring and Marion Brooks.

There will be no calling hours. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
