Obituary for Joseph R. Kibler

Joseph R. Kibler of North Java, NY passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at his residence at the age of 69.

He was born on August 25, 1954 in Buffalo, NY and was a son of Doris (Bumbacher) Kibler of North Java and the late Robert Kibler.

He was a retired dairy farmer and enjoyed hunting. He was also a member of the former St. Nicholas Church in North Java where he served as an altar boy in his younger years.

He loved his bride, adored his sons and always was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved to make maple syrup and enjoyed hanging out at the shanty. You could often find him cooking chicken bbq at the North Java, and Strykersville Fire Hall as well as at the Strykersville Legion. He loved visits from his grandchildren and would always find ways to sneak them extra candy and would load them up and send them home with everything sugar.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Monica (Sondericker) Kibler whom he married on October 19, 1979 in Sheldon; his children: Anthony (Melissa) Kibler of East Aurora, Steven (Tiffany) Kibler of Nunda and Chad (Melissa) Kibler of Attica; five grandchildren: Lexi, Levi, Sienna, Presley and Brantley; his siblings: Peg (late David) McCabe of Bennington, Nancy (Joel) Bodekor of North Java, Ed (Lori) Kibler of Spencerport, Kevin Kibler of Henrietta and Keith (Mary Beth) Kibler of Attica; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert.
