Obituary for James "Jim" R. Thomson

James "Jim" R. Thomson of Lime Lake, NY passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville following a brief illness at the age of 74.

He was born April 21, 1948 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Henry and Evelyn (Watkins) Thomson. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran who served from 1967-1969. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working.

He was an Engineer at Koike Aronson's in Arcade

He is survived by his wife, Amy (Rinow) Thomson whom he married on March 20, 1970 at St. Amelia's Church in Tonawanda, NY; his children: Bill (Kelly) Thomson of Freedom and Deb Thomson of Java; his sister, Eileen (Joe) Tomasello of Orchard Park; his grandchildren: Emily, Aiden, Evan, Mackenzie and Taylor; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters: Kathleen Bauer and Susan Geiser.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 2PM-8PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St. Arcade. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10AM at the Hope Lutheran Church, 2 E. Main St., Arcade with Rev. Shawn Hannon officiating. Final interment will be held in Sandusky Cemetery.
