Obituary for Gloria H. Cornell
Gloria H. Cornell of Holland, NY passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 86.
She was born November 5, 1936 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Stauch) Zilch. She enjoyed fishing and watching sports. More specifically, she liked football, golf and major league baseball. Gloria was loved by so many.
She was a bookbinder for Reader's Digest in Depew.
Her husband, Arthur "Art" D. Cornell who she married on December 15, 1956 in Buffalo, passed away on September 15, 2022.
Gloria is survived by her son, Mark (Chong) Cornell of Texas; her son-in-law, Robert Asbell; her grandchildren: Glo (Kyle) Coffey, Crystal (Craig) Keller, Bryon Arthur Asbell, Korin Hope Asbell; her great-grandchildren: Cru and Chevelle Coffey and Christian and Lexi Keller; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Rose Asbell and three siblings.
Friends may call on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 11am-Noon at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held at Noon with Pastor Jeff Snyder officiating. Interment will be held in Protection Cemetery in Holland.
