Obituary for Doreen M. Keleher

Doreen M. Keleher of Penfield, NY passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her adopted home in Pittsford, NY at the age of 64.

She was born on April 17, 1958 in Buffalo, NY to the late Gerard A. Keleher and Bernadette E. Keleher.

Doreen lived a simple life and was known and loved by her community out by Arcade and in her newer home near Pittsford, NY. She graduated from Pioneer Central High School in 1977 and worked at Pizza Hut for 32 years. She loved country music and was so overjoyed to have been to the Garth Brooks concert in Buffalo last week. She was also a groupie of Gene Hilts formerly “The Back Side of Thirty” and presently known as “Gene Hilts and the Rusic Ramblers." She was a great help to the Pittsford schools for many years, donating her time helping with the “Super Sale." She loved garage sales, gardening and cleaning. She was 100% Irish at Heart and loved the Buffalo Bills.

She is survived by her mother, Bernadette E. Keleher of Pittsford, NY; her siblings: Patrick G. Keleher of East Rochester, NY, Christopher J. (Jane) Keleher of Sandy, Utah, Joseph W. Keleher of Cortez, CO, Janine D. (Greg) Thompson of Franklinville, NY, Camille Shingleton of Lima, NY and Evelyn K. (Jeff) Spruill of Pittsford, NY. Doreen enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews: Matthew Thompson, Molly Thompson (Jon), Mark Thompson, Finian Keleher, Hanna Spruill (Roddy), Sara Spruill, Thomas Spruill, Sasha Walker (James), Kyler Cole and Ethan Cole as well as three great-nephews.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her siblings Mark T. Keleher and Judith A. Keleher.

In lieu of donations, please do a good deed in memory of Doreen to pass on her beautiful spirit.

Friends may call on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 10am - 11:30 am at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon at St. Mary's Church, 6785 East Arcade Rd., Arcade, NY 14009. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Java Center.

For those of you who were touched by Doreen in the Rochester area, a Celebration of her Life will take place on Sunday Aug, 7, 2022 from 1pm-4pm at Oak Tree Lodge on Woolston Rd, Pittsford NY (Powder Mill Park- past playground on right side).

She will forever be in all of our hearts and missed deeply. Rest in Peace Doreen we love you.
