Obituary for Donald Paul Bartz
Donald Paul Bartz of Sardinia, NY passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2023 at the age of 77.
He was born April 28, 1945 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Paul R. and Margaret (Schiltz) Bartz.
On May 6, 1967 he married Angie (Kowalewski) Bartz. He was employed at Yansick Lumber Company in Arcade for 33 years and had also worked at the Children's League in Springville. Don was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Holland and was also a member of the Chaffee-Sardinia Fire Department for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Angie and his children: Linda (Tom) Prusak of Warsaw, NY, Karen (Howard) Klein of Retsof, NY, Sharon (Tim) Baker of Alden, NY, Don (Danielle) Bartz of West Valley, NY and Christine (JR) Bliss of Sardinia, NY. He is also survived by his sister, Marie (Dennis) Hallock of Delevan as well as 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy (Robert) Hoelscher.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 2-7pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11am at St. Joseph's Church, 46 N. Main St, Holland, NY 14080. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Holland.
