Obituary for Daniel M. Callahan
Daniel M. Callahan of Machias, NY passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his residence at the age of 46.
He was born March 21, 1977 in Port Huron, MI a son of Debra (Daniel Pitonack) Callahan of Machias. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing and listening to music. He collected Hot Wheels and enjoyed adding his collectables to his man cave. He also enjoyed watching AEW and comic books.
Dan was a Machinist at Horschel Brothers Precision in Springville and previously worked at Koike Aronson in Arcade.
In addition to his mother, Daniel is survived by the love of his life, Cheryl Murrett of Machias; his children: Mickayla Callahan of Delevan, McKinley Callahan of Machias and McKenna Callahan of Machias; his grandson, Liam Callahan; his sister, Holly (Donald) Wright of Arcade; his step-brother, Nathaniel Pitonack of Springville; his grandmother, Jane Atwater; his niece, Andrea Kyle and nephew, Evan Wright. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Donald Atwater and John and Dolores Pitonack; his uncle, Robert Atwater and his great-uncle, Roy Atwater.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery in Machias.
