Obituary for Clara L. Stone
Clara L. Stone of Bliss, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2023 at the Charlotte House in North Java at the age of 77.
Clara was born August 19, 1945 in the Town of Eagle, NY daughter of the late DeAlton F. and Agnes A. (Purdy) Husted. She was an active member of the Arcade United Methodist Church and volunteered for the various church luncheons/dinners and fundraisers. She was dedicated to helping with the Bread Run and the Food Pantry. She loved spending time with her family, friends and especially with her grandson, Aidan.
She worked as a line worker at both Motorola and Prestolite in Arcade for a combination of 45 years before her retirement.
Clara is survived by her husband, Craig Stone who she married on August 22, 1964 in Arcade; her daughters: Amy Mohart of Fredonia and Jeanette Stone of Cheektowaga; her grandson, Aidan M. Mohart; her brother-in-law, William Taylor of Westfield and her godsons, Craig Geising and Gene Heintz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Edna Taylor.
To honor Clara's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family with a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. Interment will be held in the Yorkshire Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charlotte House, 4316 Rt. 98, North Java, NY 14113.
