Obituary for Betty J. Pettit
Betty J. Pettit of Arcade, NY passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at her residence at the age of 89.
She was born May 21, 1932 in Farmersville Center, NY a daughter of the late Ross and Gertrude (Baker) Agett. She was a member of the Hendershott-Maness Women's Auxiliary as well as a member of the St. Mary's Church both in Arcade. She also enjoyed backyard bonfires and collecting vaseline glass which she spent over 50 years collecting.
She was an office manager at H&K Publications in Arcade.
Her husband, Alton "Pete" Pettit who she married on September 1, 1956 in Farmersville, NY, passed away in 2010.
She is survived by her children: Pamela Phelps of Batavia, Jeffrey (Lisa) Pettit of Arcade and Donald (Coleen) Pettit of Strykersville; her son-in-law, Thom Drennan of Orlando, FL; her brother, Jerry (Lori) Agett of Florida; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Drennan; her twin baby brother and brother, Larry (Toni) Agett.
Friends may call on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10am at St. Mary's Church, 417 W. Main St., Arcade with Rev. Michael LaMarca officiating. Final interment will be held in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Arcade.
