Obituary for Arthur "Art" L. Buncy
Arthur "Art" L. Buncy of Chaffee, NY passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Erie County Medical Examiner in Buffalo at the age of 90.
He was born October 6, 1931 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Earl and Irene (Phillips) Buncy. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran and served from 1952-1954. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid baseball fan.
He had worked at Fisher-Price in both Holland and East Aurora.
His wife, Carol (Gentner) Buncy whom he married on October 29, 1960 in West Valley, passed away on December 8, 2018.
Art is survived by his children: Sally (Kris) Miller of Chaffee, John (Wendy) Buncy of Arcade and David (Megan) Buncy of Chaffee; his grandchildren: Jenna, Kyle, Kevin, Melissa, Alex, Connor and Jack; his great-grandchildren: Madeline, Brielle, Blake, Maxwell and Kade; his brother, Raymond (Kim) Buncy of Florida; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Doris (Ray) Phillips, Ruth (late Bruce) Puff, Nora (Barney) Harrison, Elwood Spittler and Raymond (late June) Gentner; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Orlean (Jeanne) Buncy, Earl (Pat) Buncy, Harvey Buncy and Jeanette Braymiller.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 11am with Pastor Mark Weber officiating. Interment will be held in Sardinia Cemetery.
