Obituary for Alice R. Ronan
Alice R. Ronan formerly of Freedom, NY passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Machias at the age of 87.
She was born June 12, 1935 in Arcade, NY a daughter of Wallace Roll. She was a member of the Arcade United Methodist Church and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed Arabian horses and volunteering a the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville.
She was a retired real estate broker and owned and operated Buncy Real Estate in Arcade
Her husband, Michael "Mick" Ronan, who she married on October 26, 1974 in Arcade, passed away in 1999.
Alice is survived by her children: Dawn (Chad) Heme of Arcade and Jeff (Bonnie) Buncy of Florida; her sisters: Margaret Kochersperger of Carmichael, FL and Pamela (Robert) Nolder of Olean; her eight grandchildren: Justin (Samantha) Woodruff of Lime Lake, Chad (Kacie) Woodruff of Arcade, Blake (Jade) Russell of Perry, Hillary Russell of Arcade, Deanna Buncy-Young of Florida, Jillian (Rob) Maul of Baltimore, MD, Angela Buncy of Arcade and Sara (Curtis) Andrews of Sandusky; also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Brian Buncy and her step-mother, Ida (Most) Roll.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 4-8pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11am with Pastor Jeff Snyder officiating. Interment will be held in Arcade Rural Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Arcade Conservation Society or the Humane Society of donor's choice.
