Obituary for Alice J. Heitman
Alice J. Heitman of Delevan, NY passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 71.
She was born February 16, 1950 in Warsaw, NY a daughter of the late George and Leola (Stuck) VanOcker.
She was self-employed and worked as a Health-Care Aide for various families in the area. She liked taking care of people and loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She also loved spoiling her dogs.
She is survived by her children: Walter (Tammy) Heitman, Jr. of Rushford, NY, Christopher Heitman of Springville, NY and Loree Saleman of West Seneca, NY; her sister: Linda VanOcker of Arcade, NY; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Wally" Heitman, Sr. whom she married April 9, 1973 in Orchard Park; her siblings: Duane, Lawrence and David VanOcker and Joan Barnett. She is also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call Friday, January 14, 2022 from 11AM-1PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main Street, Arcade, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1PM with Rev. Mark Weber officiating. Final interment will be held in the Delevan Cemetery.
