Obituary for Adeline Viola Davis
Adeline Viola Davis of Machias, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her daughter's residence at the age of 72.
She was born August 29, 1950 in Warsaw, NY a daughter of the late Richard and Jean (Abendschein) Crane. She attended the Machias Fellowship Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed visiting Letchworth and working with horses.
She worked at Walmart in Springville as a greeter. Before having her daughter, she worked in the New Jersey Meadowlands and Pompano Beach, FL training horses during the winter.
Her husband, Roger Davis who she married on March 17, 1973 in Bliss, passed away on August 6, 2019.
She is survived by her daughter, Erica (Shawn) Hutchinson; her grandchildren; Dylan and Mackenzie Hutchinson; her siblings: Fred (Lisa) Crane of Bliss, Jenny (Art) Crane of Colorado, Sue Buck of Niagara Falls, NY; also survived by her sister-in-law, Adrienne Crane of North Carolina as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Crane.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11am at Pioneer Christian Fellowship, 303 Rt. 39, Arcade, NY 14009 with Pastor Jeff Hokenson officiating.
